After graduating from Cross Keys High School in 1971, he began work at Saunders Brass and Copper. He eventually purchased and later sold the company before joining his childhood friend, Steve Barton, at Barton Associates, Inc. designing and selling industrial paint systems. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Pope and Daniel Pope; his brother, Alan Pope; his two sisters, Ann Pope Potter and Carla Pope; his fiancé, Deborah Skinner; and his four young grandchildren.
