Nancy M. Sullivan (Ritchie), age 70, a life-long resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 3, 2020.

Nancy was born in Chelsea, MA on October 23, 1949; she was the dear daughter of John and Olive Ritchie. Nancy was raised and educated in Wilmington and a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1967.

Nancy married the “love of her life and her best friend” Kevin Sullivan on March 29, 1969; the couple had four wonderful daughters and shared many great times together before Kevin’s untimely passing in February of 2005. Nancy and Kevin were like “two peas in a pod”; the lived together, worked together, travelled together and had a lot of fun together. Nancy and Kevin had a place in Maine where she loved to go and just relax, go fishing, boating, golfing or entertain family and friends often; everyone always had a great time.

Nancy loved her role as Mom, Grammy and Great-Grammy; her family was her world. Nancy attended countless school plays, concerts, sporting events, dance recitals or anything else her children and grandchildren were involved in throughout the years. She was also very talented with her knitting and crocheting; she made lots of afghans for her family and friends; gifts that will forever be cherished.

Nancy was a hard worker; for many years she was the office manager for ACME Waste Company in Woburn and later she was the bookkeeper for her husband’s business K & S Electric Company.

Nancy will be fondly remembered as a kind and loving lady; she had a quiet nature and never wanted to be the center of attention but that didn’t stop her from helping anyone with anything. Nancy had a big heart and will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Kevin Sullivan, devoted mother of Karen Burke & her husband Michael, Nancy Sullivan and Kelly Stanton & her husband Rob all of Wilmington and Diane Sullivan of Medford. Loving “Grammy” of Kevin, Scott, Shayna, Jocelyn, Andrew, Addison, Mackenzie, Morgan, Daniel, Miyka’el, Katorah, Eliyshah, Gabriy’el, Osiris and great-grandchildren Brady, Prince and Julian. Cherished daughter of the late John and Olive (Walsh) Ritchie, dear sister of William Ritchie & his wife Donna of Tewksbury, James Ritchie & his wife Jeanette of Salisbury and Annie Coates & her husband Tom of Wilmington. Nancy is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She also had a special bond with her beloved dog Toby.
