MIDDLEBURY, VT. - Millicent "Millie" Ruth (Chandler) Coursey, of Middlebury in Addison County, Vt., passed away on December 23rd 2019, at the age of 92, at the home of her daughter in Nebo, MacDowell County, N.C.

She was born on May 6th 1927 in Benson, Vt., she was the daughter of Howard Chandler and Thelma (Goyette) Chandler, she was the oldest of thirteen children.

Ruth was married to Darel LaFlam prior to her marriage to Kenneth Coursey.

Millie was a life member of the VFW, Post 7823 where she was an avid leader of the marching unit until age 90.

She was a retired Maintenance Supervisor of Middlebury College.

She was predeceased by her husband; Kenneth L. Coursey Sr., two sons; Michael A. LaFlam and Kenneth "Corky" L. Coursey II.

She is survived by five daughters, a brother, and five sisters. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A service and interment will be held at a later date.
