Houston- Mr. James Rudolph Mixon, Sr., 89, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020 at his home in Sparta, Mississippi . He was born in Sparta, Mississippi on November 25, 1930 to James Dolf Mixon and Beulah Davis Mixon. Rudolph was a retired supervisor at Shannon Chair Company, and second in command at R&R Furniture. Rudolph was a member of Macedonia Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at Macedonia United Methodist Church in Houston, Mississippi on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Dr. Randy Rinehart, Bro. George Knox, Rev. Sammy McMillen, and Rev. Kevin Lindley officiating.

Burial will be at Concord Cemetery in Houston, Mississippi.

Houston Funeral Home will be in charge arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, Mississippi.

Rudolph Mixon is survived by his daughter, Lulu (Dan) Dendy of Woodland; his son, Butch (Tammy) Mixon of Houston; his grandchildren, Anna Dendy Pike, Dustin Evans Dendy, Brett Mixon Dendy, Joshua Evans Mixon, and Lindzee Jo Mixon; his great-grandchildren, Riley Pike, Katy Pike, Maggie Pike, Harley Vaughn, Brooklyn Mixon, Emilee Mixon, J.T. Mixon, Kole Dendy, Reid Dendy, Trace Dendy, Weston Dendy, Evan Lee Dendy, and Jimmy Trotter; a host of nieces and nephews, and Ciara Griffin.

Rudolph was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Gann Mixon and his parents, five sisters; Arleta, Helen, Maynette, Dot, and Mae; and one brother, Calvin.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Dendy, Brett Dendy, Riley Pike, Josh Mixon, Bubba Gregory, Eddie Neal, Jimmy Gann and Charles M. Porter.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Macedonia United Methodist Church.
