Florence Sanders, 84, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020, at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson.
She was born July 22, 1935, in Vicksburg, a daughter of the late Spencer Hudson Groome and Martha Catherine Marshall Groome. Florence enjoyed a lengthy career as a personnel assistant with the V.A. Medical Center in Jackson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Presley A. Sanders, Sr., and sister, Joanne Garnett.
Survivors include her children, Presley A. Sanders, Jr. and wife Cindy, Dean William Sanders and wife Kathy, and Sharon Lynn Sanders Guy and husband Billy; sister, Marion “Dink” Haney and husband Jack; grandchildren, Kim Sanders Luebke, Matt Sanders, Zachary Sanders, Lauren Sanders Peace, Jessica Cessford, Nick Edwards, and Billy Guy; 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
