Michael Stephen Schumacher, Age 47, died suddenly on January 6, 2020. He was born in Berwyn, Ill and moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1981. He worked in the for the food service industry in the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area most of his life. He was an avid fisherman, he loved sports especially the Florida Gators, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. He used to watch some of the football games with his mother. He also shared an interest in the soap opera General Hospital with his mother and watched it with her daily. He was a loving son, brother, cousin and nephew and loved his family. He was known by many.

He is preceded in death by his father, Stephen G. Schumacher. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Schumacher of Fort Walton Beach, his brother Joseph (Sandra) of Shalimar, nephew Joshua Schumacher of Fort Walton Beach, nieces Samantha Schumacher of Fort Walton Beach and EllaGrace Schumacher Clinger of Shalimar, his cousins Paul Hurst of Crestview and Emmalee Piedlow Besch of Des Moines, WA, and aunts and uncles Richard Kolar of Fort Walton Beach, Susan Hurst (Ronald) of Fort Walton Beach and Nancy Piedlow (Dale) of Crestview. He had a special relationship and friendship for many years with Beth Doss of Montgomery, AL. Mike will be sadly missed by us all.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 110 St. Mary Ave. SW, in Fort Walton Beach. Interment will be at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
