Elizabeth "Betty" Permenter went to be with her lord and savior on Dec. 9, 2014. She was born Elizabeth Anne Lange on July 20, 1937 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Rudy & Edna (Ellebracht) Lange. On September 8, 1955 she married her lifetime sweetheart, Noel D. Permenter. Betty retired from Southwestern Bell in 1991 after 25 years of service.

Betty is survived by her loving husband Noel; 5 children, Della Maxson, Noel Jr., Lynda Smith & husband Tim, James & wife Judith, and Sandra Ridings; 9 grandchildren & 2 step grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren & 1 step great-grandchild; 2 brothers-in-law, Jack Straube of Doss, Texas & James Permenter of El Paso, Texas; 12 nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rose Marie Straube; and granddaughter, Sherry Stanley.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22nd in the Smith Chapel at Riverbend Church, 4214 N. Capital of Texas Hwy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assn., American Heart Assn. or Riverbend Church.
