Actor. An actor since age four, he will best be remembered for playing the role of Richie Ryan on the television show 'Highlander: The Series,' for five seasons in the 1990s. Born Stanley Benjamin Kirsch, he got his start in show business as a child actor in a 1972 Campbell’s Soup commercial. After graduating from Duke University, he was cast in an unsold TV pilot and on ABC’s 'General Hospital.' Among other television shows and made-for-TV movies he appeared in were 'Riders in the Sky,' 'True Colors,' 'Friends,' 'Home Song,' 'Family Law,' 'JAG' and 'Invincible.' On film, he appeared in 'Shark in a Bottle' (1999), 'The Flunky' (2000), 'Shallow Ground' (2004) and 'Deep Rescue' (2005). Kirsch, who was an accomplished acting coach and founded the Stan Kirsch Studios in 2008, died of an apparent suicide.
