Honeoye: At age 67, Peggy passed peacefully at her home on January 13, 2020. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Thelma (White) Bruce, brother Timothy Bruce, and sister-in-law Rosie Bruce. Survived by her loving husband of 46 years Edward C. Farrell and children; Matthew (Payton) Farrell of Cheektowaga and Jessica Farrell of Honeoye; grandchildren, Mallarie, Finley, Charlee, and Emma; siblings, Truman Bruce of GA, David (Lindy) Bruce of Honeoye, Chris (Marilyn) Bruce of Canandaigua, and Rose (Robert) Flood of AZ. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Special thank you to Peggy’s many friends and classmates of Honeoye Central School Class of 1970.
Peggy worked at Canandaigua City School District for 13 years. She loved her family very much and loved being a grandma most of all. Peggy wanted to watch her grandchildren grow and she fought with everything she had to try to make that happen. Peggy loved to craft and sew in her spare time, there was nothing she could not make. She had a heart of gold and was loved by so many people. Her smile, faith and courage was a true inspiration to all the loved her.
Family and friends may call on Friday, January 17th, from 4-7pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 8624 Main Street, Rte 20A, Honeoye, NY. Peggy’s Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, January 18th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8961 Main Street, Honeoye, NY. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wilmot Cancer Center or Golisano Children’s Hospital (at the same address), 300 East River Road, PO Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14627.
