Betty Virginia Spotts, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2015, at The Heights of Summerlin Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 13, 1923, at the California Lutheran Hospital in Los Angeles, to Edward Jurgen and Carolyn Dorothy (nee Knudsen) Coltzau. Betty grew up on an alfalfa ranch 10 miles east of Lancaster, Calif., with her brother, AlvIn. She graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1941. Betty moved to Los Angeles and married William Thomas Spotts, July 17, 1943, where she attended Sawyer's Business School. She and her husband became property managers in Inglewood, Calif., for over 25 years. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; mother, Carolyn; father, Ed; and brother, Al. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Edward and Jerry Louis Spotts; grandson, William Jack Spotts; granddaughter, Alayna Mary Spotts; great-granddaughter, Kylie Jade Castro; and great-grandson, Josh Spotts. Visitation was previously held Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary, 3801 W. Manchester Blvd., Inglewood, CA 90305, (310) 412-6811. Graveside services followed at Inglewood Park Cemetery, 720 E. Florence Ave., Inglewood, CA 90302, (310) 412-6500
