Funeral Services for Roy Cleveland Elliott, Sr., 53, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale, Louisiana Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate.
Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors beginning Friday, January 17, 2020 from 5-10 p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Roy Cleveland Elliott, Sr., of Flora, Mississippi went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 8, 2020 following complications sustained in an automobile wreck. Roy grew up in the small town of Forest Hill, Louisiana where he attended Trinity Christian Center Assembly of God. In 1994 he moved to Flora, MS. Roy loved to fish and hunt.
Some of his sons best memories were fishing and running trout lines with Roy. Often Roy would pull in fish half his size, He also enjoyed pulling a good prank on his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Roy's memory include his mother, Arlene (Pete) Peterson, of Forest Hill, La. one son, Roy Elliott, Jr., of Flora, MS; five sisters, Jamie Ray, of Oakdale, La. Loretta Elliott, of Glenmora, La. Sharon (Charles) Reeves, of Forest Hill, La. Donna Coker, of Deridder, La. and Gayle Hebert; two brothers, David (Donna) Elliott, of Lake Charles, La. and Ricky (Dana) Elliott, of Glenmora, La. girlfriend, Leisa Williams; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy is preceded in death by his father, Elton "Cotton" Elliott.
