Mr. Wade was a U.S. Army veteran, a graduate of Mayfield High School and a retired employee of Martin Marietta. He was a member and deacon of Trace Creek Baptist Church, where he also led the music and worked in the ministry for more than 20 years.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Linda Mae Scoggins Wade; one daughter, Sarah Wade Dinkins of Mayfield; and one grandchild, Wade Dinkins of Mayfield.
He was preceded in death by two brothers. His parents were the Rev. William Clyde Wade Sr. and Lila Elizabeth Clark Wade.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Revs. Ronnie Stinson Sr. and Ronnie Stinson Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Trace Creek Cemetery.
