Rebecca Ann Howe Tapper, 56, of Tama, died on Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama, Rev. Dewey Grimes officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo.

Rebecca was born on March 3, 1956, in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of William and Edna (Braye) Neville. She graduated from South Tama High School in 1974.

Rebecca was employed at the Meskwaki Bingo & Casino. She loved her children and grandchildren. In her younger days, she enjoyed riding horses and fishing.

Preceding her in death was her father, William; her grandparents, Ed and Maymie Braye, and Marine and Orville Neville.

Survivors include three daughters, Heather (Valjean) Bear, Stacy (Manuel Alvarez) Murillo, and Megan (Rigoberto) Banda all of Tama; twelve grandchildren; her mother, Edna Neville of Toledo; her siblings, Eugene (Patricia) Neville of Greenville, South Carolina, Phillip (Louanne) Neville of Cedar Rapids, Peggy (Ron) Newmire of Cedar Rapids, DeLynn (Dick) Rucker of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Miranda (Tony) Kurtt of West Des Moines; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
