Peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2001. In his 67th year, with his family by his side at the palliative care unit at the St. Boniface Hospital, Lawrence quietly passed away.

Lawrence was born June 29, 1933 in Winnipeg. He was the eldest son of Arthur and Vera.

His working life was spent in the printing industry. Lawrence loved fishing, gardening, time spent with his family and a few beers with the boys. Lawrence lived well, laughed often and loved his family very much. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife Gertrude. His sister Doreen (husband Ray), sons Phillip, John and Norman and his daughter-in-law Natalie. Also his grandchildren Louise, Randy (wife Tannis), Roman and Nadia.

The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, particularly the palliative care unit.

In accordance with Lawrences wishes, cremation and a small service will be celebrated on Saturday January 13, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Desjardins funeral chapel, 457 rue Desmeurons.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lawrences memory may be made to the palliative care unit of the St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
