Mary Brown Gattinger Henderson Richter, 87, of North Little Rock, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Robinson Nursing Center. She was born in Des Arc on December 26, 1925, the daughter of Bryon George and Mary Adelaide Brown Gattinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William E. Henderson her daughter, Mary Ann Richter and her son-in-law, Edmund Forest. She was raised in Des Arc by her mother and her mother's second husband Russell Murray. She received a Degree of Associate in Science from Arkansas Polytechnic College in Russellville, a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and Master of Teaching from Southeastern State College in Oklahoma. She taught for 23 1/2 years, including many years in the Orthopedic Wing at Henderson Junior High School in Little Rock.

She is survived by her children, Eileen O'Sullivan (Patrick) of North Little Rock, Barbara Forest of Sherwood and Rebecca Henderson of Maumelle; her three grandchildren, Travis Forest of Dallas, Kelly O'Sullivan of Chicago and Kevin O'Sullivan of North Little Rock; and her sister, Anne Murray Hille of North Carolina.

Mary's life will be celebrated with a private, family graveside-service. Arrangements made by Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501) 791-7400.
