S.B. Livingston, 80, well known farmer of Miller County passed away last Friday morning at the St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo., after undergoing a recent operation for cancer. Mr. Livingston served one term as Judge in the Miller County Court and was well known throughout the county.

Funeral services were held at the Hickory Point Baptist Church Sunday afternoon, Nov. 26, at 2:00 o'clock, the Rev. Neil Terwilliger officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery under direction of Hedges Funeral Home of Iberia.

Samuel Berry Livingston, son of William and Mary Livingston was born February 4, 1870 and passed away November 24, 1950 at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 20 days. He was born near the Barren Fork Creek, and all of his life had been spent in this community.

On December 22, 1894, he was united in marriage to Etta Waite, and to this union 12 children were born; one son, Russell, passed away at the age of nine months.

In September 1910, he was united with the Hickory Point Baptist Church, and was ordained a deacon in 1928. He served faithfully in this church all of his life.

He has always been a loved and respected citizen of Miller County, and served one term as Judge in the County Court.

He leaves to mourn his passing two daughters, Mabel Adams of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Ruby von Gremp of Waynesville, Mo.; nine sons, Guy of the home, Herbert of Iberia, Herman of Stafford, Kans., Berry of Iberia, Jack and Harold of St. Louis, Mo., Norman of Granite City, Ill., Dale of Memphis, Tenn., and Curtis, serving in the U.S. Army in Cristobal, Canal Zone; one brother, Frank of Iberia; Sarah West, a twin sister of Eldon, and another sister, Mollie Barton of Richland, Mo. Three brothers have preceded him in death in the past three years. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
