Sherry Nell Jennings, 87, of Pampa, left this earth to be with her eternal companion Saturday January 11, 2020. She was born July 28, 1932 in Wheeler, TX to Freddy and Doris Newsom. She married the love of her life, Jene Jennings November 5, 1951 in Wheeler, TX. She lived a wonderful life with her husband and 7 children.
Sherry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She would go out of her way to serve others and spent her free time reading and researching her genealogy.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, sister, a grandson, and her husband, Jene.
Survivors include four sons: Gary Jennings & wife Cinda of New Mexico, Rick Jennings of Texas, Tracy Jennings & wife Pamela of Texas, and Terrell Jennings & wife Jennifer of Texas, three daughters: Pamela Campbell & husband Merrill of South Carolina, Regina Lewis & husband Ken of Texas, and Shanell Rumrill & husband Larry of Colorado, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other loved ones.
The family will receive visitors at Winegeart Funeral Home Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 1 pm. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, January 14, at 6:30 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 411 East 29th Avenue, in Pampa. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their precious loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
