Lincoln County News: June 30th, 1955
Following a long illness, Mrs. Laura E. Waltz, 80, of Waldoboro, widow of Allen Waltz died June 26 in a Rockland hospital. She was born in Bremen April 10, 1875, the daughter of William and Emaline Nash Osier. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Carter, and one granddaughter, and five great-grandchildren all of Friendship; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Borden of Bath and Mrs. Flora Genthner of Bremen; three brothers, Isaiah of Friendship, Raymond of Augusta and Willie Osier of Thomaston. The funeral was held June 29th at West Waldoboro Methodist Church. Rev. Robert Plummer officiating and burial was at the German Lutheran Cemetery. Funeral services were under the direction of James A. Waltz.
