Desert Sun June 15, 1978 Mass will be said Friday for Genevieve E. "Sammie" Van Dittie, 60, of 71-300 Tayto Terrace in Rancho Mirage, who died Wednesday in Eisenhower Memorial Hospital. A native of Oregon, she had lived in the desert for 14 years. Mrs. Van Dittie was- a three-term president of the women's Golfers of Thunderbird Country Club, a director of The Pathfinders, and chairman of the local Heart Association. She was a cochairman of the Dinah Shore Colgate Tournament and a member of the Eisenhower Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Leo Van Dittie; a son, Steven Leo Van Dittie of Rancho Mirage; a daughter, Kathy Van Dittie of Rancho Mirage; her mother, Ruby Boyes of Oregon; and her father, E.Z. Williams of San Francisco. Father Edward Connolly of St, Theresa Catholic Church will recite the Rosary in the church tonight at 7 o'clock. Mass will be at 9 a.m. Friday, also in St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will be in Desert Memorial Park.
