Hazel "Susie" Baker, of Greenfield, passed away January 3, 2020. Susie was born October 20, 1925, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Robert Henry and Hazel Eldora (Cates) Dawson.
Susie was a member of the Order of Eastern Star since 1967.
Susie is survived by grandsons, Robert A. and Bradly W. Baker of Indianapolis and John A. Baker of California; six great-grandchildren, Sarah, Autumn, Keith, Jullian and Kyle Baker of Indianapolis and Allen Baker of California; three nieces, Carolyn Jean Jonas, Diane Roudebush of New Palestine and Donna Owens of Avon; two nephews, Richard Corbin of Indianapolis and David Bogie of Avon. In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ellis C. Baker; sons, Robert E. Baker and Richard A. Baker; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bogie.
Funeral services for Susie will be held at 1:00 p.m. January 14, 2020 at the Hendryx Mortuaries, New Palestine Chapel - 19 East Main Street, New Palestine, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in New Palestine Cemtery, New Palestine.
