He was born on February 12, 1936 in Frackville, the son of the late Alfred A., Sr. and Nellie Fritz.
Ron retired after twenty years in the U.S. Air Force. During his time of service, he served during the Vietnam War.
After retirement from the Air Force, he worked as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician for Dickinson College.
Ron was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to his cabin with his family and friends.
Ron is survived by his wife: Leona J. (Labonte) Fritz; his sons: James Fritz and wife Linda of Felton, Kurt Fritz of Carlisle, and Richard Fritz of Mechanicsburg; his granddaughters: Stephanie Fritz and Leah Light and husband Aaron; his step-granddaughter: Michele Harwood; his step-great-granddaughter: Morgan Harwood; his sister: Evelyn Andrews of Frackville; his brothers: Alfred Fritz of Mechanicsburg and Robert Fritz and wife Barbara of Holmes; and, his nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 16, 2020 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 310 Hertzler Road, Mechanicsburg where there will be a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Inurnment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
