Ms. Tammy Jo (Bass) Owens, resident of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, January 9, 2020, in the comfort of her home at the age of 57. Tammy was born at Cross County Hospital in Wynne on Saturday, July 21, 1962, the daughter of Mr. Bobby Joe Bass and Mrs. Rosa Lee (Melton) Bass.
Tammy was raised in Bay Village and attended Cross County Schools. She was a member of Three Trees Cowboy Church in Wynne where she greatly enjoyed participating in Secret Sisters. Tammy enjoyed going on ocean cruises and watching hockey; her favorite team being the New York Rangers. Ms. Owens loved spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren, and she had a great appreciation for law enforcement.
Ms. Owens was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a son, Nicholas Owens and wife, Courtney, of Wynne; two daughters, Hayley Mullins-Holt and husband, Marcus, of Wynne, and Erica Bass and husband, Jared Miles, of Wynne; a brother, Timmy Bass and wife, Christy, of Vanndale; six grandchildren, Logane, Eathyn, Easton, Evan, Gage, and Layla; a special cousin, Gail Edwards; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne. Interment will follow in Bay Village Cemetery.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to service time.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Chris Bass, Michael Bass, Brandon Edwards, Jason Edwards, Michael Ferrell, and Terry Melton. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Cook and Wade Edwards.
