Dr. Dennis Fagan Holt, 69, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at his home in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Dennis was born on August 28, 1950 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Daly Bransford Holt and Letha Ellen Fagan Holt.

Dennis was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. He was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church but his spiritual focus was the sharing of the joy of being in Christ with all denominations and all members of the kingdom of God. He frequently participated in God's worship with other denominations and people in all Christian walks of life.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Daly Bransford Holt.

Survivors include his wife Janet Baltz Holt of the home, four children, Dr. Brent (Amy) Holt, Denise (Dr. Drew) Dawson, Mark (Ruth) Holt of Pocahontas, and Luke (Kelsie) Holt; ten grandchildren, Madeline Holt, Grace Holt, Anna Holt, Audrey Holt, Jack Dawson, Hendrix Holt, Mary Holt, Mathias Holt, Clayton Holt and Carson Holt; his brother Dr. Danny (Sandy) Holt, his mother Letha Ellen Fagan Holt, all of Pocahontas, and many relatives.

Dennis completed dental school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis Tennessee in 1974. After a two year service with the U.S. Navy in Camp Le'Jeune in North Carolina, Dennis returned to his hometown of Pocahontas to start his dental career. Dennis retired in 2016 after 43 years of practice. His dental care was not his only passion. His love for Christ and sharing the joy of a relationship with God with others was something for which he was known. The community of Pocahontas knew Dennis as a counselor, a praise and worship leader, a mentor, prayer warrior and spiritual advisor. He authored multiple books and created beautiful music on several recorded gospel albums. Music was an integral part of his life and he gave great joy to all those around him with his singing and guitar playing. His legacy is his family, his loving wife Janet of nearly 48 years, his children, his grandchildren and all of those he mentored over the years that he considered his special family.

Visitation is planned for Monday, January 13, 2020 at the McNabb Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. with a short prayer service following visitation.
