Nora is a daughter of William Dorris Hendricks and Almira Davenport - the thirteenth of their fourteen children.
Because Nora's parents participated in the practice of plural marriage, they went to Mexico for a few years from June 1889 through the spring of 1893. According to Almira's history (found on familysearch.org) in 1891 all of the family but one was stricken with black diphtheria. While the other family members recovered, Nora died. The family was all alone because no one dared come in. There was no funeral held.

Gravesite Details

When the Mexican rebels came through Diaz in 1912, the destruction there was devastating. Hardly a building was left standing. Hardly a marker was left in the cemetery. No one lived in Colonia Diaz again.
