Memorial Services for Henry F. Eilers, age 77, of Bristow, were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2006, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bristow.
Vicar Glen Stahlecker officiated with Inurnment at the Rosedale Covenant Cemetery in rural Bristow.
Visitation was one hour prior to the services at the church.
Mr. Eilers died, Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha, Ne.
Henry F. Eilers, son of Ernst and Albertha (Schmidt) Eilers, was born July 11, 1929 at Spencer, NE. He attended country school. He was married to Mavis Coburn on June 30, 1952 at Spencer, NE. Six children were born to them, Duane, Marlin, Roger, Larry, Joyce, and Kathy. Henry lived in Spencer, Bristow, and Sierra Vista, Arizona. He was a farmer, handyman, mechanic, and helped many neighbors. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, American Legion, and a veteran serving in the United States Air Force. Henry died Thursday, November 29, 2006 at the VA hospital in Omaha at the age of 77.
Survivors include his wife Mavis; children, Duane and Mary Eilers of York, NE, Roger and Sharon Eilers of Bristow, NE, Joyce and Rob Gibbs of North Platte, NE, Larry and Tami Eilers of Lynch, NE, Kathy and Mike McCleary of Battle Creek, NE; a sister, Helen and Wilbur (Bud) Mitchell of ONeill; sisters in law, Dorothy Eilers of Spencer, and Frances Johnson of ONeill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marlin; brother, August; brother in law, Ray Coburn; father in law and mother in law, Bill and Vera Coburn.
