Lora Liza Hamlin was born on 2 May 1877 to George Hamlin and Susan Cook. She married much older William Henry Bice on 28 January 1895, when she was seventeen years old. Their children were Ruby Harriet, Onart, Albert, and Hassen Bice. Lora Hamlin Bice died, 12 December 1968, aged 91, and was buried at Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett, Texas.
