Hunter Raymond Jackson, 33, died Aug. 10, 2004, at his Klamath Falls residence. Cause of death was not given.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Beatty Community Center in Beatty. Concluding graveside services will follow at Chief Schonchin Cemetery at Sprague River. A meal will be served following both services at the Beatty Community Center. Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 25, 1970, in Klamath Falls to Raymond Mathew and Violet May (Page) Jackson.
Over the years, he worked at many jobs, starting with summer work while he was still in school at the age of 14.
He was a firefighter and also worked in Idaho marking timber and as a choker setter. He loved working in home construction.
In addition, he worked for Paisley Ranger District and did road construction in Brookings.
Mr. Jackson enjoyed being on the former reservation, especially the Black Hills in Beatty with his disabled brotherr Roland. He also enjoyed cruising and kicking back with family members and friends.
In his younger years, he played Hacky Sack for fun.
He was an accomplished cook.
Survivors include his parents Violet and Raymond Jackson; brother Roland; sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Tom Nealy; nephew Thomas Nealy; grandmother Jessie Stewart; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
