She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Chattanooga. Tommie was very talented and won many awards at the craft shows she attended with her ceramics. She was also a volunteer at Memorial Hospital for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hill, Jr.; son, John Hill III; parents, Gus and Ruthie Kendrick and brother, Lebron Kendrick.
Tommie is survived by her sons, Charles “Bud” (Kim) Hill and Freddy (Gina) Hill; daughter-in-law, Joan Hill; grandchildren, Chris Hill, David (Amanda) Hill, Becky (Kenney) Smith, Stephanie (Robert) Gant and Stacy Hill as well as seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 3 - 7 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58. The funeral service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Raymond Kendrick officiating.
