Rebecca Nicole (Good) Reynolds, 36, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2019, with her husband Rob by her side at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy, PA, after a long and courageous battle with Recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme. Born Friday, June 24, 1983, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Philip E. Good and the late Belinda K. (Kline) Good. She married Robert E. Reynolds on July 5, 2008.

As an infant and toddler, Rebecca or Becca as she most often was called, resided in Holtwood, PA. She was a daily commuter and student of the Ware Presbyterian Child Care Center (Oxford, PA) where her mother was director and teacher. Becca was an outgoing, vivacious toddler who learned early on the art of making friends with her ever present smile. When she was 2 ½ years old the family moved to Elizabethtown to be part of a family owned/operated Shaw-N-Tee Campground, where Becca was immediately put into service as the campground’s social director. She singlehandedly guaranteed repeat business for Mom and Dad by personally meeting and greeting each and every camper and swimmer who came to visit. After selling the business in 1989, Becca and family remained in Elizabethtown ultimately graduating from Elizabethtown Area High School in 2001. Prior to graduation she had many interests. Naturally, coming from a soccer family she played soccer for the Rheems Athletic Association and eventually played on the high school team. She was the number one fan of the Elizabethtown College Men’s Soccer Team for which her dad coached. Throughout her teenage years this afforded her a new male crush each year of which many remained lifelong friends. They all counted her as a team little sister and loved her dearly.

Prior to graduation Becca worked for Movi-E-Town theatres where she got her first taste of business management (aside from managing her three energetic brothers). This led to her interest in working with people in a business setting. She attended Elizabethtown College for 1 ½ years. During this period she continued to work at Movi-E-Town. She then transferred to DeVry University (Ft. Washington/Philadelphia Campus) to specialize in their Human Resource program. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources. Immediately after graduation she was hired as an assistant book store manager at Chestnut Hill College (Philadelphia, PA).

While she was spreading her wings at college she developed some new sports fan loyalties to the surprise of her Baltimore born and raised parents. Becca became a voracious Philadelphia Flyers fan and a stubbornly loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan much to the chagrin of her Cowboy brothers and Steelers husband fans. Some of this interest grew out of her part-time work that she had as a Philadelphia Eagles game day assistant. We are still not certain why she took that job, however, it might be explained that a certain young man was also working the games, namely Robert Reynolds, who later became the love of her life. Fittingly both Rob and Becca met and graduated in the same class from DeVry University in 2006. Post-graduation finds both deciding to move back to Elizabethtown in 2007 to pursue their future. Good fortune was upon them and in short order they both became hired by Select Medical Corporation, Mechanicsburg, PA., Becca first as an HR specialist and then Rob, less than one week later, as an IT specialist. Becca worked for Select Medical Corporation up until July prior to her passing. Becca was so very appreciative and thankful of all co-workers and employers during her time there and truly loved her job. We know she will be greatly missed and was blessed to have worked there.

Becca’s faith and attitude toward living was a bright light that touched us all. She was a lifelong member of the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren where she went as a mentored youth to Sunday School teacher and youth mentor herself. She had special opportunities that took her to Nigeria on mission trips, once with her grandfather as a high school senior and again in 2015. These trips demonstrated her service mindedness and created many friendships.

Becca loved being out in nature. She enjoyed hiking, biking, her BEACH TIME and walking her 11-year-old dog Scoot. She enjoyed movies, music, dance, crafts and scrapbooking and most recently some painting. She expressed herself in many ways and loved to share motivational words. Two of her favorite messages were “Begin each day with a grateful heart” and “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to DANCE IN THE RAIN”. Her most recent cover photo on her FaceBook page stated “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase”, a quote by Martin Luther King, Jr. These quotes definitely sum up Becca’s journey through her wonderful life.

In addition to her husband of over 11 years, she is survived by her Miracle Gift, one-year-old son, Isaac Philip Reynolds and her father, Philip Good and wife Kathy, all of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are brother Aaron Good and Lauren Flowers, niece Madelyn Lee, brother Jason Good, all of Elizabethtown; brother Adam Good of Aspen, Colorado.

Becca’s family and friends will miss her so very much from her warm, bright smile to her amazing hugs.
