David Ewell Cardwell Sr., age 56, of McAllen, Texas passed away on Saturday January 4, 2020. David was born May 20, 1963 in Century, Florida.
David is survived by his wife, Estela Cardwell; sons David Ewell Cardwell Jr and Alex Cardwell, and daughter Sabrina Leeann Alvarado; mother, Margaret Baxley, sister Kathy Beasley Goings, brother Robert B. Cardwell, brother James Long, brother Donald Long, sister Sarah Long, sister Yurtha Long Riojas, brother Ronnie Long, sister Deborah Long Buran, brother Leslie Long, brother Richard Long and sister Sandra Robins, sister Brenda Cardwell Lawson, sister Debbie Cardwell Kirkland; grandchild Colton David Cardwell, grandchild Teresa Escamilla, grandchild Avrianna Cardwell, grandchild Ezriq Cardwell, grandchild Tristan Cardwell Kalifa and grandchild Marcus Xavier Cardwell Alvarado. David is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as extended family and friends.
Family always came first to David and he prided himself by providing for his family and their needs. His heart was also shared with his work as a drilling consultant. David was an avid traveler and spent his free time traveling with his loved ones. When David wasn’t seeing the world, he was with his family, and he truly lived life to the fullest; dancing, BBQing and enjoying good laughs.
Visitation for David will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 1:00 PM. A final gathering with be held Friday, January 10, 2020 at 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel in Pharr, with the funeral procession to follow.
The graveside service will occur Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Santa Cruz Cemetery in San Isidro, Texas.
