Myron Lester Sackett was born October 1875 (per 1900 census) in Lisbon, New York. He is listed as Myron Sackett in the 1880 census, in the home of his parents, William and Charlotte Sackett, in Canton, New York. In the 1900 census, he is listed as Myron F Sacket in the home of his parents, same town.

In the 1905 New York census, he is listed as Myron L. Sackett, age 29, living with his wife, Sarah, age 25. The 1910 census lists her as Sarah R Sackett, age 30, born in New York, and indicates that they had been married 7 years. The Watertown Daily Times (Watertown, New York), 2 Mar 1911, Page 5 notes, "Morley, March 2.--Mrs. Myron Sackett died at her home in this place Thursday night after a severe illness of nine months. She leaves a husband, two brothers and a sister."

The most informative record is that of Myron's second marriage, which took place in Prescott, Grenville County, Ontario, Canada on 13 Feb 1913. That record gives his name as Myron Lester Sackett, age 37, widower, born in Lisbon, New York, son of Wm L Sackett and Charlotte Hedden. It also states that his first wife was Sarah Elizabeth King, and that she died 24 Feb 1911 in Town of Canton. [This is confirmed by New York, U.S., Death Index, 1852-1956 (Ancestry.com) which says Sarah Sackett died 24 Feb 1911 in Morley, New York; Morley is a hamlet in Canton, New York.]

Myron's second wife was Gertrude M. Northrop, age 26, born in Oldensburg, New York, daughter of Louis Northrop and Jennie Martin. She is listed in the 1910 census as Gertrude Quant, age 20, in her parent's home.

The 1915 New York Census lists Myron, Gertrude, and two children, Evertt Sackett, age 7, and Eleanor Sackett, age 2. Other records indicate that Evertt really is Everett Lewis Quant (1908-1983), Gertrude's son by a 1908 marriage to George Washington Quant.

New York, U.S., Death Index, 1852-1956 indicates that Gertrude M. Sackett died 31 Jul 1923 in Oldensburg, New York.

Other records identify daughter "Eleanor" as Elda and Alda Mary Sackett. On 2 Jul 1931, Alda Mary Sackett, born 2 Apr 1913 in De Peyster, New York, daughter of Myron Sackett and Gertrude Northrop, age 18, married Bernard Leroy Martin, age 19, born 3 Sep 1911 in Bangor, New York, son of Noel Martin and Elizabeth Campbell. [While it is possible that Alda lied about her age, the fact that she is listed as age 2 in the 1915 census suggests that she really was born in 1913.]
