Mildred G. "Milllie" Lewis, 83, of 118 N. Water St., Selinsgrove, went home to her Lord on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving children.
She was born July 30, 1936, a daughter of the late Grace A. (Berge) and Charles B. Anderson.
Millie was a 1954 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School.
She worked as a waitress all her life. First at The Dutch Pantry in Hummels Wharf, then she worked 20-plus years at Gary's Farm House Restaurant until it closed. She then worked and retired from Boscov's Restaurant. She later was a foster grandparent at the Selinsgrove Elementary School.
Millie is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Kim Lewis of Mount Airy, Md., and Craig and Suellen Lewis of Mifflinburg; two daughters and son-in-law, Kathy Havercamp of Boyertown, and Lori and David Bogovich of Northumberland; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hardell, Timothy Lewis, Jeremy Geiger, Jena Bogovich, Emily Bogovich, Alex Lewis, and Cassandra Lewis; two great-grandchildren, Harper and Weston Hardell; one sister, Shirley Hoffman; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Carolyn Anderson; a sister-in-law whom she was very close to, Faye Straub and husband Foster; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Millie was preceded in death by four sisters, Alice Kline, Cora Smith, Dorothy DeDay, and Gloria Weir; two brothers in infancy, Russell, and Larry; and a son-in-law, Robert Havercamp.
A visitation with the family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Rhoades Avenue, Selinsgrove, followed by a memorial service at 11.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Sassafras Street, Selinsgrove. A celebration of life meal will follow at Marzoni's on Route 11 & 15, Selinsgrove.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Millie's memory to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Evangelical, Attn: Development Office, 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
Arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
