Nancy Joan Butler Neal, of Arkadelphia, passed away in her home on January 4, 2020 at the age of 86. She was born in Lima, Ohio on February 23, 1933 to William Van and Mary Helen Butler.
A devout Christian, Nancy was an active member of Second Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday school. Nancy loved hosting and attending family gatherings. She also loved sewing, especially to make outfits for her grandchildren at Easter and for other special occasions. She was a great cook who loved to garden and preserve her own vegetables.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 63 years, Robert Wayne Neal, three daughters; Teresa Lynn Neal of Lincoln, NE, Rhea Ann Neal Ruggles and husband Murry of Arkadelphia, Tawnya Lee Skokos and husband Kemp of Little Rock, and one son; Britt Paxton Neal of Clarksville; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one brother; William Van Butler of Oklahoma City, OK.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, with a graveside service at 11:00am on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison, AR.
