Myrtle Lee Johnson Taylor, 83, of Dawson passed away at home on January 7, 2020. Funeral services will be held at Harvey Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020 with interment to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Henry will officiate. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Nicholls, Georgia on September 12, 1936 to George W. Johnson and Alfie Tanner Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.W. Taylor; sister, Pearl Streat; granddaughters, Tina Carlisle and Gail Hook; and great-granddaughters, Taylor Gay and Brittany Money.
Survivors include her six children, Mike Taylor (Carolyn) of Dawson, Sharon Wood (Eddie) of LaGrange, Roy Taylor (Sue) of Cuthbert, Bobby Taylor (Lisa) of Cuthbert, Steve Taylor (Dana) of Dawson and Dena Taylor of Leesburg; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Tinkerbell.
