John L Stout, was the son of Zephaniah and Eleanor Lane Stout born 1807. Zephaniah, son of Capt Nathan and Esther Ketcham, died in 1809, when he was two years old. Eleanor Lane Stout married William Stout, brother of Zephaniah Stout, December 7 1811 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. John L Stout married first Margaret Williams and were the parents of Ellen C married George Fry, Maria I married Joshua Fry, Charles W married Ann Kindwell, Sydnah married Mary C Wicklow, Caroline died young, Zephaniah married Frances Coughlin and Henry C married Anna C Bates. After Margaret's death he married Margaret Titus, daughter of Tunis and Sarah Titus, March 22 1857 and were the parents of Mary C and Sarah A Stout.
