Bernice Evelyn Marshall, 96, died on a Sunday at the Bishop Noa Homewhere she was a resident.

After the War she married Gordon W. Marshall on Sept. 12, 1946, and made their home in Gladstone. As well as her parents, Gordon preceded her in death in 2004. She is also preceded in death by her sister Elmira Scott, and brother, Donald Skoog.

Bernice was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Gladstone and was involved in Grace Circle and quilt making. During her life Bernice made hundreds of quilts that were shipped around the world to those in need. She was also a member Bay de Noc Coin and Stamp Club, Gladstone Senior Center, as well as others. Bernice collected and displayed her antiques and volunteered at the U.P. State Fair for many years.

Bernice loved God and often expressed her thankfulness for family and friends. She was a loving wife and mother who put her family ahead of everything else. She will be remembered for her welcoming heart and service to others. She was proud of her family and cherished her time with them.
