Dorothy May Garnett, 96, of Monrovia, IN passed away on January 4, 2020 in Plainfield, Indiana. She was born November 28, 1923 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Lloyd & Mattie (Martin) Cumbers.

Dorothy married John L. Garnett on August 16, 1941. She enjoys Bingo, seek and find books, watching TV, game shows and soap operas. Dorothy also enjoys being outside and cooking.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, John; 2 sons, Jack and Lewis Garnett; and great granddaughter, Samantha Spencer. Dorothy is survived by her children, Chuck Garnett (Regena), Judy Garnett Norman (fiance Doug Johnson), Marty Garnett Dennin (Mike); sister, Maxine Cummins; 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are at 2pm Friday, January 10, 2020 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN with Pastor Ralph Lemmon officiating. Visitation 1pm to 2pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers, IN.
