Toni's service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bloomington, with Pastor David Glesne officiating. Following the service, burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
The family has suggested memorials to be made to Safe Harbor or Home Sweet Home Mission. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.
Toni was born Sept. 17, 1950, in Bloomington, to Richard Allen and Alberta Jacqueline DeMent Williams. She married Charles Cunningham on Aug. 20, 1972, in Bloomington.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; their four children, Chad (Kristie) Cunningham, Andy Cunningham, AJ (Christian) Abrahamsen and Dan (Rachel) Cunningham; along with her nine grandchildren, Reid, Cecelia, Maya, Eve, Pax, Henrik, Hattie, Lilly and Espen. Also surviving are her two brothers and one sister, Les (Keri) Williams, Lyle (Beth) Williams and Terri (Kent) Lindsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Elias Abrahamsen.
Toni was a deeply faithful person and an active member in her church for her entire adult life. She was dedicated to leading her church's prayer chain and helping at the church in any way she could. Toni taught foreign languages at several local junior high schools and high schools, before retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren. Toni's interests were genealogy, cooking, reading and homesteading. Toni was so thankful for her big family and loved them dearly, teaching them the unconditional love of God and family. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. She was a nurturing, strong matriarch who loved fiercely and selflessly. She spent her life caring for others. She will be dearly missed.
