Dale E. Thomas 81 of Selinsgrove, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 28, 1938, in Sunbury, a son of the late Ernest and Ruth (Dockey) Thomas. On June 26, 1960, he married the former Janet L. Ulrich who preceded him in death in 2003.
Dale was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove and the Selinsgrove Moose.
He enjoyed fishing, doing lawn work, football, baseball, reading the Bible, visiting his friends in nursing homes, and was friends with all his neighbors.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Joel A. and Brandy Thomas of Catawissa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Georgia A. and Gary Kreamer of Selinsgrove and Patty A. and Dave VanHoute of Watsontown; one brother and sister-in-law, Kay and Theresa Thomas of York; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ken, Bill and Bob Thomas; and one sister, Rajean Necci.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor Robert P. Doll officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Dale may be made to Sharon Lutheran Church, 120 S. Market St., Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
