November 29, 1961 ~ January 6, 2020 (age 58) Brenda C. Coleman, 58, of Kings Mountain, KY passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset, KY. Born November 29, 1961 in Stanford, KY to the late Glen Cornett and Maymie Godbey Cornett, she was a former employee of Dairy Queen in Stanford. Survivors include three daughters, Stefanie Padgett of Stanford, KY, Theresa Coleman (Shawn Carman) of Kings Mountain, KY, and Rachel Byrd (Anthony) of Harrodsburg, KY; four brothers, Jerry Cornett (Connie), Glenwood Cornett (Gail), Charles Cornett (Dorothy), and Earl Cornett all of Kings Mountain, KY; three sisters, Helen Ryan of Highland, KY, Alice Foley of Somerset, KY, and Mary Ann Padgett (Danny) of Waynesburg, KY; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kayla Renee Coleman; and four sisters, Annie Lee Cornett, Linda Coleman, Genevia Cornett Lanigan, and Euline Ray Cornett . A one day service has been scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm with funeral service beginning at 1pm. Burial will follow at Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, KY. Casket bearers will be: Dakota Padgett, Bailey Padgett, Jerred Padgett, Dillion Franks, Tanner Franks, and Trevor Bradley.
