James D. Mobley, 44 of Batesville died Thursday, January 2, 2020. He was born November 17, 1975 in Batesville, Arkansas to William Don and Norma Jean Mobley. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran with 9 years of service and was an aerial gunner. He served in Afghanistan and received the Air Medal with 13 oak leaf clusters, Aerial Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Combat Action Medal, Gallant Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Award with two oak leaf clusters, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor Device with two oak leaf clusters, Combat Readiness Medal with one oak leaf cluster and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include one son, Jayden Mobley of Wisconsin, his mother, Norma Jean Mobley of Batesville; one brother, Michael Mobley and his wife Winter and a niece, Alexis Mobley all of Navarre, Florida; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville.
