Mary Hollobaugh Stephenson passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 30, 2019. She was born September 22, 1939 and was the fourth of six children born to Enos and Eleanor Hollobaugh. Mary was a lifelong resident of Layton, Utah where she raised her three children. She was a practical, tough cookie, but had a soft heart beneath the hard shell. She loved those close to her fiercely and worked hard to make sure her family had opportunities to go farther in life than she did.

Mary was quietly generous with her time and her wallet, and opened her home to people in need. Her warmth and wry sense of humor will be greatly missed. Mary is survived by her husband, Allie Stephenson, her daughters Annette Sumner and Christine (Dan) Tyer, and her son Zachary Stephen Sommer. She is also survived by her sisters Ada Davis, Evelyn Carrera, and Jean Martin. Surviving as well, are her cherished grandchildren, Jackson, Catherine, Hailey, Gabe, and Kayla.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
