Charles Edward Pate, 66, husband of Thayedell Floyd Pate, died Monday, January 6, 2020, at his residence, after an illness.
Mr. Pate was born on October 2, 1953 in Florence County, son of the late Caleb Pate and Frances Matthews Pate. He was a graduate of J. C. Lynch High School and Williamsburg Technical College. Mr. Pate was a retired Superintendent of FBI Construction and Hunter Builders. He attended Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed woodworking and auctions
Mr. Pate was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette P. Powell; and a nephew, Ronnie Powell.
