Ms. Garrett was born June 30th, 1964 in Columbus, Georgia, the daughter of John Wilson Garrett, Sr. and Mildred Langford Garrett. Throughout her life she worked as a carpenter in the construction industry with her brother Don. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed it immensely. She attended Greater Life Baptist Church in Columbus. Ms. Garrett thoroughly enjoyed fishing and had a deep love for all animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bill Garret and Don Garrett as well as a sister, Kim Garrett.
Survivors include her brother, Mark Garrett and his wife Lori of Warm Springs, Georgia; sisters, Ann Fincher and her husband Oz, of Notasulga, Alabama; Deborah Vaught of Auburn, Alabama; Tami Freiberg and her husband Les, of Columbus, Georgia; several nieces and nephews and many other extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday, January 12th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home – Manchester, with interment following in the Meriwether Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday, January 11 at the funeral home.
