Judy Long, age 78, of Morenci, passed away on January 5, 2020, at her home, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.
She was born on May 28, 1941, in Morenci to Otto and Margaret (Sinclair) Metcalf. On May 2, 1959, in Adrian, she married John D. Long Sr. and he preceded her in death on July 16, 2014. Judy was a proud military wife, a member of the Panda Bear Camping Club and enjoyed going to garage sales and shopping. Judy was a homemaker the majority of her life, ran Morenci Skateland for approximately 10 years, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, John Jr. (Ellen) Long of Adrian, Mary Long of Morenci, Dale (Kristy) Long of Morenci, and Lisa (John) Correa of Sand Creek; ten grandchildren, Daniel Long of Adrian, Greg, Jason (Rachel), and Jacob Sturmer of Morenci, Desirae Correa of Sand Creek, Cody, Kayle, and Kyle Long of Morenci, Andrea (Mike) Porter, and Ashley (Donnie) Kidd; seventeen great grandchildren; and her loving fur baby, Rylie.
In addition to her husband, John and her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori in 2013 and her brother, Frank Sinclair.
A graveside service for Judy will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. at Lyons Cemetery with Pastor Donna Galloway, officiating.
