Vardaman--On Sunday, January 5, 2020, at 12:05 in the afternoon, Jimmy Rex Hamilton, 67, was called to his heavenly home. Jimmy Rex was born March 30, 1952, in Calhoun City, MS to (late)James Harold Hamilton and Odeen Lyles Hamilton. Jimmy Rex was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. He was a man with strong family values. He leaves behind a path well paved with those values for his family to follow. Jimmy Rex attended Vardaman School. During his school years and after, he learned the trades of farming early in life from his daddy. In May of 1969, he married Janice Marshall Hamilton of Derma, MS. They have celebrated over fifty years of dedicated marriage. They began their family in 1970 with the birth of their first daughter, Kimberly, then their second daughter, Aimee, in 1973, and ended with their third daughter, Mandy, in 1975. Jimmy Rex continued to work those trades of farming through life until his health declined due to a stroke in 1998. Although, his activities in life were challenged by his health, he never once failed in showing strength to carry on. He was a devout husband, daddy, and granddaddy. He gave his life to loving, caring and providing for his family. If there has ever been a true love story- it was written and lived out by Jimmy Rex and Janice.
