Floyd was born the son of the late Joseph W. & Emma M. (Stoll) Stephens and has spent most of his life in the Burton area. Answering the call of his country Floyd served in the US Army during WW II, he was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School in West Branch and had been employed by General Motors Truck and Bus Division with over thirty-seven years before retiring.
