Obituary of Kenneth Edward Sullivan
Kenneth E. Sullivan, 80 of Keller, TX passed away on Sunday, January 5th at his home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:30pm on Wednesday January 8th, 2020 at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Thursday January 9th, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller. Interment will be in Bourland Cemetery in Keller. Memorials in Ken's honor may be made to The University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
Ken was born on April 7th, 1939 in Charles City, Iowa to Gerald and Margaret (Tabbert) Sullivan. He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Charles City and attended National School of Aeronautics, where he met the love of his life Constance Malick. They were married on August 27th, 1960, and celebrated their 59th anniversary in 2019.
Ken spent his career serving the passengers of American Airlines as a ticket agent in Chicago, Newark, Des Moines, and Dallas/Ft. Worth, retiring in 2001 after 42 years. He was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller and sang in the parish choir for many years. Ken loved to travel, especially to Maui with Connie, and internationally with their great friends Bob and Cathy Ferris. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers, and the Aggie, Cyclone, and Hawkeye teams so loved by his children's families.
Those left to honor Ken's memory are his wife Constance Sullivan, three children and their spouses, Tim (Sara) Sullivan of Clive, Iowa, Lynette (Matt) Wilson of Eldridge, Iowa, and Gaylene (Mark) Scales of Kaufman, Texas, his brother Robert (Elizabeth) Sullivan of Cortland, Illinois, brother-in-law Robert Malick of Batavia, Illinois, Grandchildren Emily (Dane) Gerlich, Grace Sullivan, Katherine Sullivan, Taylor (Zach) Bosch, Hope Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Jessica (Colby) Wardlow, Joshua Scales, Kelsey Scales, Meaghan Scales and Great-Grandchildren Ella, Cole, Theo, and Luke. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Malick, and brother John Sullivan may they rest in peace.
