Richard Pearce (or Pearse) was born about 1684 at Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island to Richard and Experience Pearce. Sarah Humphrey was born October 27, 1679 at Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts to Samuel and Mary Torrey Humphrey. Richard and Sarah were married in 1705 and their children were: Samuel, Nathaniel (#100937061), Sarah, Richard, William (#56086823), Experience (#79086333) and Mary. After the death of forty year old Sarah, Richard's wife on July 4, 1720 at Bristol, Bristol County, Rhode Island, he married Susannah Lawton (born April 3, 1689 at Tiverton,, Rhode Island) and they had three daughters: Susanna (#74801007), Ann (some confusion on her - possibly #80288768 or #104417350) and Elizabeth (#13172846). Richard died October 25, 1744 at Bristol and was buried there in the Juniper Hill Cemetery. Most likely, Sarah is also buried there. Susannah, his second wife, died July 27, 1768 at Portsmouth and is buried in the Juniper Hill Cemetery.
