Graveside services for Mr. Daniel Goss McDaniel, 83, of Bude, MS will be on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM. Rev. Larry Wallace will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. McDaniel, passed from this life on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born on August 26, 1936 in Brookhaven, MS to Mr. Earl and Mrs. Rowena Hill Goss, adopted by Mr. Shelly McDaniel and Mrs. Annie Mae Hill McDaniel.
Mr. McDaniel graduated from Bude High School and University of Southern Mississippi. He served our country during the Korean War in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Bude Methodist Church. He owned and operated McDaniel's Photography in Bude, MS, along with his brother, David, for many years. He was well known throughout southwest MS. Daniel and brother, David would often attend area church revivals, dinner on the grounds, weddings and social gatherings. They touched many lives by sharing their work in pictures with families.
Preceding him in death were his parents, (Earl & Rowena Hill Goss) Shelly and Annie Mae McDaniel; sister, Lexine Graham; two brothers, Warren McDaniel, David Goss McDaniel; nephew Randy Randall, nephew in law, Dave Curry and cousin, Tommy Hill.
Survivors are sister in law, Dorothy McDaniel of Gulfport, MS; sister, Pat Langston of New Hebron, MS, cousin, Tim Hill of Bude, MS; niece Cathy Curry of Sun City, FL; great niece, Leslie Wasson, great, great nephew, Ashton Payne, nephew Mark Langston of New Hebron, MS., niece in law, Vivian Randall and great nephew, Shea Randall of Memphis, TN.
